Lee Pulliam (Jazz)

Lee has over 30 years of performing and teaching experience. At the University of North Texas, Lee was Lead Alto in the World Famous 1:00 Lab Band, served as Graduate Saxophone Instructor and performed on a variety of woodwinds in classical and experimental solo and ensemble settings in college.
Lee has played professionally since high school (live and on recordings) in big bands, small jazz groups, rock and show bands and in church with the worship team.Lee studied saxophone with Joe Viola at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and John Giordano and James Riggs at the University of North Texas.  He was a Down Beat Magazine Scholarship winner in high school and have played professionally with Les Elgart, Bob Crosby, Buddy Morrow, Jerry Gray, Claude Gordon, Neal Hefti, Helen O’Connell, Charlie Rich, Ike & Tina Turner, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Tom Jones, Ice Capades, Six Flags Over Texas, Harvey Anderson, Euell Box, Miss Fort Worth and Miss Texas Pageant, Fort Worth Rodeo, Moslah Shrine Circus and many more; performed in college with Thad Jones & Mel Lewis and in High School with Urbie Green, Joe Morello &  Don Jacoby. Lee was a founding member of the SaxeTexas Saxophone Quartet which released the CD Riggs Rags.Currently Lee performs professionally in a variety of venues around Anchorage, Alaska and have been a featured performer on numerous recordings.
